HOME II - SOLD

Home II is part of a two piece that captures a scene of places in which I feel most at Home, places that evoke a sense of tranquillity and nostalgia for me. The pieces depict a mixture of the calming strength of the ocean and of waterfalls, places that have always captured my imagination since childhood, and where I hold my most cherished family memories.

For Home, I took an experimental approach, using a combination of ink and alcohol, to lend a free-flowing quality to the piece. To later add depth and dimension, I employed watercolours and acrylic paints.

The final pieces were large aquarelles, which were carefully bonded onto glass, to maintain their light atmosphere.
